I had the opportunity to have Chris Rohland show me around his place of business located in the old Ray's Variety building on Main Street. His company is Chrispy.Co. He gave me some samples of his freeze dried candies and they were delicious. Martin's Fresh Market is currently selling these products, so hopefully you can go out and support both local businesses.

Friday afternoon at 5:30 there will be a mural dedication at O-W School that will lead into the festivities of the Owen Junior Fair for the weekend. Friday is Family Night. Saturday will be filled with many events going on at the Old School Gym. In addition, there will be an assortment of activities on the fairgrounds throughout the day, ending with fireworks at dusk. The chicken dinner will be on Sunday, followed by the parade at 1:00 with the parade theme being The Wizard of Oz. Following the parade, the Owen Centennial Committee invites all Owen residents, former and current, and anyone with an Owen connection including Owen business owners, to partake in the photo op to be printed in our Centennial book. Also, Thursday, Friday and Saturday is the city wide garage sale.

Also on Saturday is O-W FFA Alumni's Cows Plows and Wine at Munson Bridge Winery. Besides all of these activities, Meadowview Golf Course will hold their annual club championship.

The Owen Centennial Committee will hold their raffle drawing Saturday evening before the fireworks. Please purchase tickets, as this is a fundraiser to help pay for activities for next year's 100 year celebration events. Committee members will be selling tickets at the fair, or you can purchase tickets at City Hall or O-W Sports and Liquor. Thank you for your support.
