As many of you are aware, I announced my retirement a couple months ago with my official final day in office of December 31, 2024. I subsequently made that notice to the Governor’s office who per Wisconsin statute would pick my replacement to finish out the last two years of my term.
I have received notice from Governor Tony Evers office that that the Governor has selected Chief Deputy Corey Dassow of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office for my replacement. Chief Deputy Dassow will be sworn into the office of Sheriff January 1, 2025, and become Taylor County’s next Sheriff.
Corey and I will be working closely together over the next couple months and I’m confident the transition will be seamless for the members of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens we serve.
Please join me in congratulating soon to be Taylor County Sheriff Corey Dassow.
