On May 30-June 2, Thorp Dairy Days weathered the rain and concluded on a beautiful sunny Sunday. The festivities began on Thursday with the coronation of Thorp royalty: Miss Thorp Cassidy Kodl, Jr. Miss Mallory Kodl, Princess Emeri Wold, and Jr. Miss Attendants Payton Petke and Brooklyn Petke.

Friday’s featured events included cowboy hat sales, Circle T Saddle Club display, Clark County Search and Rescue Team Demo and live music by the Jerry Schmitt Band.

Saturday morning began with a Fun Run, later fair-goers could take part in a bean bag tournament, a Kiddie Tractor Pull, a full-sized Tractor Pull and enjoy live music by 3 Beers Down.

On Sunday the weather was bright and clear for the “Blast from the Past” themed parade. At the beginning of the parade, it was announced that this is one of the only parades around that allows participants to throw candy from the floats and to be extra careful. It was also mentioned that if the parade route is left with lots of wrappers and left over candy, the city may decide to cancel the throwing of candy. With that said, the fun began as 71 entries slowly moved down Main Street Thorp.

Following the parade, the crowd migrated back to Northside Park for Badger State Dirt Flingers, live music by the Strat Cats and a Dirty Club Tournament. Throughout the weekend there were kid friendly activities such as face painting, Henna tattoos, balloon artists, a magician/ventriloquist and carnival rides by Badgerland Midways. Food was provided by St. Bernard/St. Hedwig Church and School, Thorp Lions, Thorp Legion & Auxilary and Lana’s Scoops.
