You may find this hard to believe, but there are a great many things on which I simply do not want to write my thoughts out on. Even now, I find myself holding back from writing about a specific group of topics. The biggest reason for this is that I mostly have nothing "new" to add to the mix. The second biggest reason is that sometimes having more people saying everything that pops into their head isn't helpful.
The biggest reason is that I have come to realize that I am not thinking about nor approaching many of the major mainstream topics the way most people expect me to. And so, when I discuss it from my point of view, it sometimes throws more chaos into the mix, because people are caught off guard. And I hate to admit it, but most of us react defensively when we are caught off guard. So, I don't think that helps any of us to be thrown a proverbial curve ball that then leads us to a wilder reaction.
None of us need more of that. I think we need a different approach. We need to be able to take all of the topics and approach them differently. We need to look at this from a lot more angles, and with a lot more and differing points of view. We need to really start opening up our minds to "the rest of the story" around a topic. We need to look at facts and reality, and not emotionally charged presentations. We need to see who is doing what, and not just make snap judgements without real and meaningful information to back it. Clean, real, unbiased data.
I'm not sure that I should continue this mindset or not, to be honest. But for now, I'm going to! I guess I want to be sure that as I do write, it's about enjoyable things, or helping bring something fresh to a topic. But if you have need of me doing otherwise, please let me know!
