Kick-off to Cooperative Month

Clark Electric Cooperative, Greenwood and River Country Co-op, Owen, kicked off cooperative month with a free breakfast on Saturday, September 28 at the Greenwood Clark Electric headquarters. Those who attended were treated to a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausage and activities for both kids and adults.

The Clark County Sheriff's Department sponsored a “Take Back” Initiative from 7-11 a.m. where people could bring in their unused, controlled, noncontrolled and over-the-counter medications, free of charge and no questions asked. Food items were collected to help support local food pantries. The Greenwood Fire and EMS provided free blood pressure testing. Community health information was given out by experts from Marshfield Medical Center and the Clark County Health Department.  Representatives from Clark Electric and River Country Co-op were also handy to answer questions regarding their products and services.

The children’s activities included decorating pumpkins, crafting picture frames, guessing the weight of a giant pumpkin, bouncing in giant inflatables and more.

The Clark Electric building was filled with tables full of appreciative members enjoying breakfast as well as kids of all ages enjoying getting together for a little bit of fun. It appears member appreciation day was much appreciated.
