The Hands Foundation will host an open house at the historic St. Hedwig’s Church on Gorman Avenue, Thorp from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 5.

As part of the days events, they will be collecting winter survival items for homeless veterans, including winter coats, boots, and long underwear. You can also drop off items at O-W Sports & Liquor in Owen.

In addition, there will be music beginning at 1:30 p.m. As part of this, Darrell Marrier will demonstrate how they do a recording session, using the great acoustics in the church.

Guests will be able to see the new clock faces that have been made for the bell tower. A raffle will be held to raise funds for a machine that will reset all four clocks if the power goes off.
