Golf Fun League

The golf course was wet, conditions showed partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the low 80’s with a refreshing light wind. Twelve zealous golfers paid the $2 entry fee, team captains were chosen and by drawing cards, three teams were formed. Each team used a scramble format with teams hitting from the tee, choosing the best shot and each hitting from that location. Competition was extremely competitive again with team scores of 35, 35 and 36. A tie breaker on hole 7 determined the first-place team. The winning team consisted of captain Daren Underdahl with teammates LeRoy Wellman, Dennis Wilson and new participant Larry Empty. Hole prizes were earned by Jerry Hester who earned closest to the pin on par 3’s holes 2 and 6. Richard Wachsmuth sank a 70-foot putt to win the longest putt contest. The Fun League is held every Tuesday during the summer. If interested, show up before or by 9:45 for check in.
