With fall now here, the day started out cool, clear and calm. Dew was heavy on the fairways and on the greens but 12 avid golfers showed up to compete for the coveted first place prize money. After fees were paid, four three-person teams were formed with captains Kert Boie, Dale Raatz, LeRoy Wellman and Dennis Wilson. The best ball format was selected where the best shot is used as the teams play each hole. Competition was exceedingly competitive with team scores being 35, 36, 36 and 36. The first place team shooting 35 consisted of Dale Raatz, Bob Arimura and Buck Michlig. Longest putt awards on holes 4 and 9 went to Richard Wachsmuth and LeRoy Wellman. The Fun League is held every Tuesday during the summer into fall. If interested, show up before or by 9:45 for check-in.
